Document lifecycle

A healthy document workflow keeps the durable original separate from the filing decisions around it.

Add and verify

After upload or capture, open the document and check that the right original arrived. Correct its title, date, correspondents, tags, or other searchable information while the source is still fresh in mind.

Jiandu may suggest a filing rule after repeated authoritative corrections. Review the proposal before accepting it. Accepted rules remain inspectable, pausable, exportable, and reversible; a manual edit always takes precedence.

Restricted documents do not contribute evidence to household-global learning.

Find and share

Use broad search first, then narrow with the filing information your household applies consistently. If a document should not be shared with the whole household, assign explicit people or groups and verify the result with a Member account.

Export and deletion

Test export before you need to leave the system. An export should preserve usable originals and enough context to understand them outside Jiandu.

Treat deletion as an operational event. Confirm what retention or recovery path exists, and make sure the next backup reflects the intended state. Never use filesystem deletion as a substitute for the product workflow.
