Reliable intake

An intake path should make success, retry, and failure distinguishable.

Begin with manual upload​

Before automating, add the same kinds of files through the browser. Learn which formats, sizes, and metadata need attention. This separates document-specific problems from connector problems.

Use narrow sources​

  • Give a watched-folder connector one dedicated directory.
  • Give email intake a dedicated mailbox or folder.
  • Allowlist only intended scanner addresses.
  • Enroll each capture agent separately and keep its state persistent.

Keep a recovery queue​

Do not let another tool delete its source immediately after handoff. Retain the file or message until Jiandu confirms a durable import and your workflow has verified it. Failed inputs should remain visible with the exact error and a safe way to retry.

Expect duplicates during retries​

A timeout can leave the sender unsure whether Jiandu accepted an item. Retry through the documented connector path and inspect the result; do not rename or mutate storage files directly to force a second import.

Test failure deliberately​

With sample data, stop the network scanner, revoke a test mailbox credential, or temporarily make the destination unavailable. Confirm the connector reports a useful error, does not lose the source, and resumes without silently duplicating documents.
