Follow activity and notifications
Use Activity to see which documents need a decision and which work recently finished. Use browser notifications when you want an alert while Jiandu stays open in another tab.
Before you begin
Sign in to Jiandu and keep a non-sensitive sample ready to upload. You can use Activity without granting browser notification permission. The inbox is stored by Jiandu; browser popups are an optional delivery channel.
1. Check Activity
Select the Activity bell in the top bar.

The attention badge counts unread notices that need attention, so it is not a count of all completed documents. A quieter badge can indicate filing suggestions when there is no unread attention item.
Select a document notice to mark it read and open the document's current details. A batch or plugin notice may describe work without linking to a single document. If processing or search failed, inspect the failure before using the relevant retry; uploading the original again is usually the wrong recovery action. See reliable intake.
2. Clear notices after reviewing them
Reading a notice and dismissing it have different effects:

| Clear under Recently finished | Dismisses the group's completion notices, including those beyond the visible rows |
| Clear everything | Dismisses the notices in the Activity groups |
These actions do not delete documents or retry failed processing. Clearing a failure notice does not fix the failure. Follow through in the document or connector that produced it before clearing the notice you use as a reminder.
3. Choose browser notifications
Open Settings → Preferences → Browser notifications. Enable the categories you want; the installation shows only the choices it supports:

Enabling a category may prompt the browser to allow notifications. Both the Jiandu preference and the browser's permission must allow delivery. If the browser already blocks notifications, change its permission for your Jiandu site and review the preference again.
:::note Keep Jiandu open Browser notifications are delivered while the page is open. Jiandu does not provide background web push after every Jiandu tab is closed. Opening a new tab loads the stored Activity inbox without replaying historical notices as fresh browser popups. :::
If something does not work

| Activity could not be loaded. | Restore the connection and choose Try again. An unavailable inbox does not prove there is no outstanding work. |
| That notification did not update. | Let Activity reload, then check whether the notice still needs the action before retrying. |
| That setting did not save. | Review the reloaded preferences and retry the intended setting. |
| Notification settings are unavailable right now. | Reopen Settings after the connection returns. |
| No browser popup | Check the category preference, the site's browser permission, and whether a Jiandu page stayed open. Look in Activity for the stored notice. |
Verify the result
- Leave Jiandu open and add a non-sensitive sample using the document workflow.
- Wait for processing and check Activity for its completion or attention notice.
- Open the document notice and confirm that the preserved original is available.
- Reload Jiandu and review any outstanding Activity.
- Dismiss the sample's notice, then find the document in the Library to confirm it remains available.
If you also enabled Documents finished and allowed browser permission, check for a browser notification from new work while Jiandu remains open. Use health and monitoring for operator checks; Activity does not replace a service-health or recovery procedure.
