Using Jiandu
Use these guides with a working household library. If you are installing the service yourself, complete the quickstart first. If someone else operates it, start with Join your household's Jiandu.
Your first document
Follow this path once with a non-sensitive sample:
- Sign in to your household with your own account.
- Add and file a document, then find and download its original.
- Save a useful search so you can return to the same criteria.
- Review Activity and choose the alerts you want.
Find and organize
| Goal | Guide | You are done when |
|---|---|---|
| Establish a repeatable filing habit | Add, organize, and find a document | A second person can retrieve the sample without knowing its filename |
| Search and manage the document lifecycle | Search, archive, and recover documents | You can find active, archived, and binned records and explain permanent deletion |
| Return to a recurring search | Save a search with quick filters | Selecting a saved name restores its criteria and shows current results |
| Review accountable automation | Use Smart filing | You can accept, pause, inspect, and undo a rule without changing existing records unexpectedly |
Stay in control
| Goal | Guide | You are done when |
|---|---|---|
| Follow work that needs attention | Activity and notifications | You can review a notice, choose browser alerts, and clear it without deleting its document |
| Protect an exceptional record | Restrict a sensitive document | An allowed Member can open it and a denied Member cannot |
| Introduce the household safely | Roll out Jiandu to your household | Named users can sign in, recover documents, and know where to report failures |
| Automate a bounded workflow | Use the native API | A scoped token can page through results and resume a test upload without bypassing access policy |
