Learning API
Adaptive metadata suggestions, user-controlled rules, settings, audit, and privacy-scoped export
Read learning settings, suggestions, rules, and recent audit activity
Requires documents.read. Suggestions, previews, rule counts, and audit activity are filtered through the caller's current document visibility; inaccessible and foreign-household records are never distinguishable.
Export the caller-visible household learning data
Requires metadata.manage. The bounded JSON export includes only observations and applications backed by documents the caller can currently read; audit entries contain no document identifiers or learned values.
Reset household learning data and preferences
Requires metadata.manage and an exact same-origin proof for cookie requests. The operation removes observations, suggestions, rules, and application history, then restores default balanced settings. Existing document metadata is not rewritten.
Disable an active learning rule
Requires metadata.manage and an exact same-origin proof for cookie requests. Disabling preserves the rule and its application history.
Enable a disabled learning rule
Requires metadata.manage and an exact same-origin proof for cookie requests. Enabling an active rule is idempotent; an undone rule is terminal.
Permanently undo a learning rule
Requires metadata.manage and an exact same-origin proof for cookie requests. Undo prevents future applications but does not rewrite document metadata already filed by the rule.
Update learning settings optimistically
Requires metadata.manage and an exact same-origin proof for cookie requests. Omitted fields remain unchanged; an empty patch is rejected.
Accept a pending learning suggestion
Requires metadata.manage and an exact same-origin proof for cookie requests. Acceptance creates one active rule atomically and is idempotent for an already accepted suggestion.
Reject a pending learning suggestion
Requires metadata.manage and an exact same-origin proof for cookie requests. Rejection is idempotent and prevents new evidence from silently restoring the suggestion.
Restore a rejected learning suggestion
Requires metadata.manage and an exact same-origin proof for cookie requests. Accepted suggestions remain fenced by their rules and cannot be restored.
